I bought this in-line fan to pump warm air into a chase containing hot and cold water pipes. When outdoor temperatures drop below 15 degrees Fahrenheit, the air in the chase falls below freezing, so I was worried that the pipes would freeze. This little fan together with flex duct (I stripped away the outer insulation) solved the problem. After waiting 26 days to get my Effinity 93 110000 btu unit, I installed it only to find out the propeller fan was very noisy. It is louder than my air compressor. Modine will not honor the warranty unless you use a professional installer. If you are a do it yourselfer, don't buy this unit. The propeller motor is cheap and creates a lot of vibration noise. I was hesitant to put in a whole house fan, because the one in my previous house was effective but really loud. Quiet Cool lives up to its name. It is so quiet, I don't have to turn up the volume on the TV. It works great too, pulling in the cool night air. I have a 1400 sq ft ranch house in Colorado and it cools off quickly. I'm so glad I didn't opt for air conditioning, saving a lot of $$.

Just to say - it is great except can't seem to control the temp. I'll keep trying as have only had it two months. Always have hot water, but almost burn my hands sometime. Perhaps I must make larger adjustments -
