I bought this in-line fan to pump warm air into a chase containing hot and cold water pipes. When outdoor temperatures drop below 15 degrees Fahrenheit, the air in the chase falls below freezing, so I was worried that the pipes would freeze. This little fan together with flex duct (I stripped away the outer insulation) solved the problem. I love this system. It's been installed in my house for almost two years now and have no problems at all and all the hot water I need. I would recommend this to anyone replacing a hot water unit. Originally, I had a tankless coil in the furnance and that required the furnace to run all year long. Now, I can shut off the furnace during the summer. Also, this product is energy star compliant which means a payback from uncle sam during tax time.

Unfortunately, it took too long to receive my furnace. I guess I didn't understand the delivery/shipment process. However, the furnace is working well and I am thankful for that.

Unit installed last October. Worked well for the first three months then started acting up. Required constant visits by plumber who at this juncture has no clue what the problem is and neither does the wholesaler or the manufacturer. STEER CLEAR OF THIS DEVICE!!
