I used this inline fan to hook up to my vent hood in my kitchen. Even though this product was assembled in America, the motor was made in Germany and you certainly can't go wrong with German technology. I also brought LD10 silencer to attach directly to the fan and placed the silencer between the vent hood and the fan. I also purchased the FC10 clamp to hold the silencer and fan in place. Easy to install, well made. Mini Splits are the way to go. Mitsubishi is the king of the hill, in SEER, reliable, features and function, each generation gets better and better. We purchased this to replace our old existing heaters as well as get more powerful heaters to heat up our space. These units are clean looking and powerful heaters, but they rattle and are noisy. You can see the metal bracket inside is loose and it was designed as a separator between the heat exchange, but it is not mounted security, so the air causes it to rattle.
