While I haven't yet installed the fan, I did unbox it and plug it in. I'm no acoustic engineer, but I could barely hear it operate and that was at the motor end. I'm not sure what 45 dB sounds like or maybe I'm hard of hearing - my wife tells me I'm hard of listening but this thing is quiet and that's with it strung out on the hardwood floor. Away from home for the winter. Family checking our home found the problem, needed a new boiler. I was in another state, went online (this boiler was recommended by the professional), able to work well on your web site. Called a few times with questions, very helpful. Shipped out immediately. Boiler installed without any problems. I returned home a few weeks later to a warm home new boiler, and every thing working well.

Installed this fan and it works GREAT! Cools house quickly and quietly! You can feel the air moving in the house as it cool down. Recommend this fan to all clients with heat issues in summer. I installed 8 hour timer and hi/low switch. That is the way to go!

We bought this unit to replace a 30 year old unit. We wanted one very similar so installation would be easy and a do it yourself job. I am always leery about on line shopping, but ecomfort made me comfortable with my experience. The unit was exactly what we wanted and installation was fantastic. We had to modify one piece of duct work--which was really nothing. I would shop at ecomfort in the future.
