If you have electric baseboard heat and are looking for a premium product this seems to be pretty much the only game in town. It looks about as good as a baseboard heater can do and exudes quality. The thing weighs about ten times a regular heater of similar size so holds heat much better - though ultimately you are buying this for looks not performance. I'm a DIY guy, and this is the first and probably the only boiler I will install. The instructions were fairly clear. And everything works. According to the internal digital and analog thermometers the water in the system is 176 degrees. I understand that's what it should be. So everything is good. It was nice that the unit was so light, I was easily able to move it from the back of my minivan into the basement by myself.

I have a 14 X 40 wood shop and was looking for something to heat/cool it that wouldn't cost a lot of money and also not run my electric bill through the roof. I think this unit is the answer. It was simple to install with no labor costs and it runs quiet and efficient. It keeps the shop comfortable with low humidity great for cast iron tables. After waiting 26 days to get my Effinity 93 110000 btu unit, I installed it only to find out the propeller fan was very noisy. It is louder than my air compressor. Modine will not honor the warranty unless you use a professional installer. If you are a do it yourselfer, don't buy this unit. The propeller motor is cheap and creates a lot of vibration noise. Even if the motor was replaced under warranty, it would still be the same noisy motor. If you want to be able to talk in the vicinity... more
