We bought this unit to replace a 30 year old unit. We wanted one very similar so installation would be easy and a do it yourself job. I am always leery about on line shopping, but ecomfort made me comfortable with my experience. The unit was exactly what we wanted and installation was fantastic. We had to modify one piece of duct work--which was really nothing. I would shop at ecomfort in the future.

I have used these before on a 2nd floor. Really was looking for something to put tile on rather than a mortar base. These are great, east to cut, easy to put down fabric and then tile using unmodified thinset. It's been several years and still looks good, water drains well.

The oil, a part of Freon makes most plastics parts brittle and replace indoor unit. This situation is a subject of recall, however, the company avoids ruining the company name offering free replacement parts for long period. I have repair three pin holes in one indoor unit. I have used this product before. I would not do a shower using any other product. You spend a lot of time and $ doing a new shower, you should do it right. With this, I know everything is sloped properly, the products fit together and it will be waterproof. We used the shower for a few weeks while tile was on its way last time as the shower is watertight, even without tile.
