I have extensive building trade skills so installing the AC unit was quite simple for me to tackle myself. I had to have a branch 220v electrical panel added to service the unit. The only problem I had was finding a HVAC contractor to test the unit for leaks prior to firing it up. Since most licensed HVAC contractors don't want to touch so small a job or they don't want the liability of signing off on the leak test if they did not install the unit themselves. This is an excellent panel, although quite heavy - make sure you have something to hang it on. Effortlessly heats our large bathroom with huge windows, in a house located in the Rockies at 8,585 ft elevation (very cold winter nights!).
