5-star This Product Seems To Be Doing Very Well. Easy To Install Oct 26, 2016

The Goodman furnace has a very good instruction packet and resources for the DIY person. The furnace is working so well that I would buy a second one in the future when I need one in 20 years. It is too early to determine how reliable the furnace is. This unit is not even a year old. I would recommend Goodman to anyone. Even if you can't install it yourself, if you have a good installer, it should work well for you.

We replaced an Amana unit with the LG that claimed to be the quietest on the market. It is definitely quieter and we have had it installed for two weeks, running every day, however it is not quiet by any means. There is some type of groan towards shut down that lasts for about 10-15 seconds. It also runs more than the Amana did which I'm sure will result in higher electrical bills. So far this seems like a terrific unit. We bought it primarily for heating. We spoke with a professional local installer who was terrific. They let us do some of the things to save costs. It's really easy if you can drill a hole through your wall. The professionals came before and after to check over what we did and then do the vacuum pumping and a few other things we just weren't sure about.
