Its difficult to believe I am the first to review this product. However this thermostat is difficult to program and seams to defy reason, when in heat mode and should be using the compressor unit outside to produce heat, it instead will be making expensive heat with AUX electric heat. I will probably dump this thing and get one I can understand how to use effectively.

Went to Home Depot and Lowes to find ducting to fit this expensive fan.....not a good fit on anything even 3-4-5 inch rubber boots do not fit ???? I threw away the box and went to job to install....I bought an inline fan at hd $26 works and fit great..

I used this inline fan to hook up to my vent hood in my kitchen. Even though this product was assembled in America, the motor was made in Germany and you certainly can't go wrong with German technology. I also brought LD10 silencer to attach directly to the fan and placed the silencer between the vent hood and the fan. I also purchased the FC10 clamp to hold the silencer and fan in place. Purchased this HRV to replace our 22-year old Mayaire unit. Didn't realize until the HRV arrived that it must hang for installation. My original unit sat on a table I built for it. So it took quite a while to find the right spot to have good access for straps, and not interfere with existing duct lines for old unit. Installed the ecobee 3 a few days ago, no problems at all with self install. The system is up and running and the remote sensor works properly in determining room occupancy and temp. range. Nothing wrong yet, the ecobee 3 does everything for you, just set it up and go. O and the Wi-Fi set-up was flawless too. This was the easiest product to use so far in 2015. Now lets see what it does for my gas bill...........if like everything else it will be great too.
