We talked about this for years and finally had one installed in our master bedroom. Our bedroom is the farthest room from our main unit. We had to keep the thermostat lower than necessary to make our room tolerable to sleep at night. This unit is quiet and cools wonderfully. Doesn't take long to cool the room when turned on. So many options can be programmed with the remote control. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I just wish it was more simple to figure out which connectors were needed. The description should be simpler. All I wanted was 1/2" copper connections but somehow the unit showed up with PEX connections. Overall good radiator though.

Amazing A/C system. Quiet, 30% lower operating cost than a traditional unit, 20% lower cost to purchase. Far superior to the old school monstrosity. Blows my mind that everybody does not use a mini split system. The energy savings (over a traditional unit) will pay for my entire system within ten years! 19+ SEER versus the 13 SEER of the old crud. I need to emphasize quiet operation. After waiting 26 days to get my Effinity 93 110000 btu unit, I installed it only to find out the propeller fan was very noisy. It is louder than my air compressor. Modine will not honor the warranty unless you use a professional installer. If you are a do it yourselfer, don't buy this unit. The propeller motor is cheap and creates a lot of vibration noise. Even if the motor was replaced under warranty, it would still be the same noisy motor. If you want to be able to talk in the vicinity... more
