We purchased the Electro Boiler as a backup heat source for our son's home in rural New Jersey. Due to the rocky soil there is no natural gas. He uses a pellet stove as the first heat source. We were replacing an older oil boiler, clearly from the long ago days of cheap oil. Modine Noisy Mar 10, 2016

After waiting 26 days to get my Effinity 93 110000 btu unit, I installed it only to find out the propeller fan was very noisy. It is louder than my air compressor. Modine will not honor the warranty unless you use a professional installer. If you are a do it yourselfer, don't buy this unit. The propeller motor is cheap and creates a lot of vibration noise. Even if the motor was replaced under warranty, it would still be the same noisy motor. If you want to be able to talk in the vicinity... more
