Two days after installation, the 12k unit quit working with a fan malfunction code. Efforts to contact Gree have been unsuccessful. The 9k unit continues to operate normally. Warranty/repair is a real issue.

This little heater does a wonderful job of keeping my two car garage nice and warm all winter long. I use my garage for a man-cave workshop in addition to parking my vehicles. I purchased this one because 15 years ago I purchased an ADP similar model. Well, after 15 well used years of 247 running, the board went out. So, instead of replacing the board I opted to replace the unit with another ADP. I don't think you can ask for many more trouble free years from any heater.

I bought this unit not knowing if it would heat my 19 x 21 kitchen, but to my surprise I have not had to turn the unit any higher than 4 and that was on a -20 day . So my wife is well pleased with me.

Our main house is cooled by a 2.5 ton conventional a/c. I replaced that unit in June with a new American Standard (Trane) a/c. On the back of the house is a Florida room 44' x 12' that was not air conditioned. Three sides of the room are sliding glass doors, circa 1989, overlooking a lake and facing east. Heats Well But Controls Bad Sep 08, 2016

I live in the Colorado mountains and we needed to replace the electric heaters in our bedroom. This heater heats great, but it will not heat to temps below 60 degrees. We like the bedroom air temp cool summer and winter. The controls have 2 timers you can program, but the lowest temp you can program is 60 degrees. That makes no sense. Every thermostat I have seen goes a lot cooler. There is a set back control that goes a lot cooler, but it is totally manual. either on or off.
