We purchased this to replace our old existing heaters as well as get more powerful heaters to heat up our space. These units are clean looking and powerful heaters, but they rattle and are noisy. You can see the metal bracket inside is loose and it was designed as a separator between the heat exchange, but it is not mounted security, so the air causes it to rattle.

We have a 2 story home in Ocala, FL. A/C is on in May and runs 24/7 till sometime in October. We have 2 heat pumps of 2 ton. A Goodman was put in last year and runs perfect and is quiet. Our second unit is an old 10 SEER, and I will be buying another Goodman. I got a 13 SEER last year and am getting a 14 SEER for the downstairs this year. My son-in-law (ex) owns an A/C company, and he said it's a good unit. He is happy I have a stand up attic.

This was my first mini-split installation, and it was time consuming but easy. The system is very quiet while running, easily have a conversation standing next to it and I can't hear it standing around the corner of the building, 10' away. The installation is on a semi-secluded lake cottage with only nature for ambient noise, it is that quiet. After waiting 26 days to get my Effinity 93 110000 btu unit, I installed it only to find out the propeller fan was very noisy. It is louder than my air compressor. Modine will not honor the warranty unless you use a professional installer. If you are a do it yourselfer, don't buy this unit. The propeller motor is cheap and creates a lot of vibration noise. Even if the motor was replaced under warranty, it would still be the same noisy motor. If you want to be able to talk in the vicinity... more

Blew the competitors out of the water and they recommended an HVAC licensed installer that also were great and the install price was better than the local competition. Thank you eComfort.
